This trek passes through the charming village of Gurung and a Magars community (Ghandruk, Ghorepani, and Ulleri) which shares unique local cultures as well as you will also pass through colorful Rhododendron forest and rivers. Starting trekking will be straight uphill, and after we reach Poon hill then most of the trekking trail will be downhill.

Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, and Hiunchuli Himalayan ranges. Not only majestic views of the Himalayas but also enjoy the views of a colorful Rhohodendron forest that makes your trekking time more memorable. Many tourists visit Poon Hill just to see the spectacular views of sunrise and sunset through the Himalayas.
Best Time to Visit Poon Hill
Autumn season (September to November) and spring season (March to May) are the best seasons to trek Poon Hill and the favorite season of most trekkers. The temperature in those seasons is neither too hot nor too cold. Since the sky gets clear in those seasons you can enjoy a clear view of the mountains. In the autumn season, the villages look colorful and decorated because of the festivals as Dashain and Tihar lie during this period, and in the spring season, tourists can enjoy a spectacular view of full blossomed red and pink rhododendron which makes the forest colorful and more alluring.
