All about Annapurna base camp trek
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the popular Trek of Nepal. The majestic views of the snow-covered White Mountains, lush green forests; high cascading waterfalls make this journey more beautiful and more relaxing.
The journey of Annapurna Base Camp begins with one of the beautiful city or we can say the city of Lake of Nepal, Pokhara, and end through enchanting villages of Magars and Gurung people. Since the journey is full of rough trails and ups and downs, it makes visitors more exciting because it’s challenging for most of the people of the city area to walk on those rough trails.
Annapurna base camp at (4,130) m is a funnel-shaped valley with a panoramic view of Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8,097m/26,566ft), Tent peak, Fishtail, and others. Annapurna I is the tenth highest peak in the world and is the first of the 8,000 m peak climbed as early as in 1950. And the most interesting thing is Annapurna Base Camp passes through Machapuchre Base Camp, visit two base camps in one trek is one of the blissful moments of life.

Best Time to Visit Annapurna Base Camp trek
It is very important to know about the weather while trekking in the Himalayas. The weather of the mountains is changeable, lacking weather knowledge of higher region can result in many problems that you don’t want to face. The best season to trek Annapurna Base Camp is the autumn season and spring season. Since the sun-blocking thick cloud will be fade away in those seasons; you can enjoy a stunning view of crystal clear skies. The Magic of clear purplish blue skies gives the most breathtaking vistas. But in another season it can be more challenging for tourists because of the cold weather of mountains and heavy snowfall.
Autumn Season (September-November)
Autumn season is one of the best seasons to trek Annapurna Base Camp and the favorite season of most trekkers. The temperature in this season is neither too hot nor too cold. The clear skies, mild wind, majestic mountains view will make you feel relaxed and less tired while trekking. The daytime temperature of the Annapurna region in the autumn season is 20c and the temperature at nighttime is 5c. Since in this season skies get clear in night time too so, you can see the mesmerizing view of many brighter stars above you. Trekkers experience lustrous greeneries, glorious grasslands, and topographies. The villages look colorful and decorated because of the festivals as Dashain and Tihar lie during this period. Since it’s a perfect season for most of the trekking it is a busy season in Nepal.
Spring Season (March-May)
Spring season is another best season to trek Annapurna Base Camp since in this season weather is moderate and the rainfall is quite low and condition for trekking is best. The temperature remains 17-20 degrees Celsius in the daytime whereas it decreases getting 2-7 degrees Celsius in the night and morning in this season at Annapurna Base Camp. In the spring season, there is a fewer chance of snowfall and rain.
Spring season is considered the best season to visit Annapurna Base Camp because at this time tourists can enjoy a spectacular view of full blossomed red and pink rhododendron which makes the forest colorful and more alluring. Since the sky is clearer in the spring season you can enjoy a pretty good view of the mountains.
Summer season (June-August)
The temperature of the summer season is not suitable to trek Annapurna Base Camp as another season because at this time temperature will be 15 – 20 degrees Celsius which is hot. More than that it usually rains in the summer season that’s why the trail will be wet and slippery. Due to rainfall, the road may be affected by floods and landslides. Besides that, because of rainfall various plants bloom and make valleys green you can see and enjoy a different view of the place in the summer season.
Winter Season (December-February)
Trekking in the winter Annapurna Region is as popular as another season. The Winter season is also can be considered the best season as autumn and spring season for experienced trekkers, but we do not recommend beginners to trek Annapurna Base Camp in the winter season since the temperature will be so cold. The temperature of Annapurna Base Camp in winter is about -5 degrees celsius and there is a chance of snowfall which makes trails full of snow.
The coldness of winter attracts most of the tourists in this season and also the views of mountains usually very clear.
